Accounting (A.S.)

Accountants collect and analyze financial data, design and maintain accounting systems, prepare budgets, financial statements, and tax returns, and conduct audits. Herkimer’s accounting program will prepare students for entry-level positions in the accounting field or for transfer to a four-year school.

Career Opportunities/Transfer Information

HCCC graduates find jobs in public accounting and private industry; most however transfer to four-year colleges and universities throughout the northeast.
