College Now Specialist
Herkimer County Community College invites applications for the position of College Now Specialist. This position reports to the Assistant Dean of Academic Affairs and is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day administration of College Now, HCCC's concurrent enrollment program to award college credit to high school students. Responsibilities include communicating with member schools, scheduling courses, registering students, providing faculty support, planning program events, and other administrative functions essential to the program. This is a 10-month position with benefits.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in relevant discipline from an accredited college; Master's preferred
- Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communications skills; ability to work cooperatively and collegially with a wide range of constituents including faculty, administrators, high school students, and parents
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Skill in accurately managing, updating and processing records, registration data, and accreditation materials
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Available to travel and work occasional evenings; valid driver's license required
Preferred Qualifications:
- Background in customer service and/or administrative or teaching experience in secondary and post-secondary education
- Experience in event planning
- Familiarity with concurrent enrollment and National Alliance of Concurrent Enrollment Partnerships (NACEP) accreditation
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications Access, PowerPoint, and Publisher
- Experience with SunGard's Banner
