Herkimer Women's Soccer
Assistant Coach: Krysten Vivyan
Krysten Vivyan is a 2004 graduate of Ilion High School where she played soccer, basketball and track. Vivyan was a captain in track, as well as co-MVP, and she holds school records in long jump, triple jump, and the 4x100 relay. She was captain of her basketball team in her senior year, a league all-star and co-MVP.
As a sophomore, Vivyan played sweeper on the soccer team that broke the school record for most shut-outs in a season (15). As a junior, her team was the first undefeated, untied team in CSC Division I history. She also was a league all-star, team defensive MVP and recipient of the coaches award. In her senior year, she was captain, league all star and defensive MVP, and she led her team to the sectional III finals.
Vivyan graduated eighth in her high school class and went on to graduate with high honors from Herkimer County Community College in 2006. While at HCCC, she participated in track and was sweeper for the soccer team. During her second year, she served as a captain and was named to the all-tournament team for the “Coliseum Kickoff Classic.” She also was named to the Region III All-Tournament team. Her team won the Region III championship and went on to participate in the NJCAA national tournament. She also received the “Coaches Award” and was named to the All-Mountain Valley Conference Team and the All-Region III team. Both years, her team won the Mountain Valley Conference.
Vivyan transferred to SUNY Institute of Technology as a Business Management major. She was captain for the soccer team in her first year at SUNYIT, and rather than playing soccer in her senior year, she decided to accept the assistant coaching position at HCCC. Vivyan has also been the head coach of the Ilion Girls Modified Basketball program the last three years. She is currently a senior at SUNYIT and plans to graduate in May 2008.
