Head Coach: Dianna Ste-Marie

Dianna Ste-Marie takes over the reigns of the women's lacrosse program this year after serving a year as assistant coach under Brandi Ostrander. A five-sport athlete at the Town of Webb High School (Old Forge, NY), Ste-Marie played soccer, basketball and volleyball, and ran cross country and track. Her high school athletic experience sparked her interest in teaching physical education and coaching.

Ste-Marie played soccer and softball in college and continued to educate herself in as many different sports as possible. She accepted many opportunities to coach little league softball teams and traveling soccer teams.

After graduating from college, Ste-Marie worked in Long Island at a preschool for children with special needs and continued coaching youth soccer. In 1998, she accepted a position as a long-term substitute teacher in the physical education department at the Town of Webb School. At Old Forge, she began coaching high school sports starting with a junior varsity soccer team which went undefeated for the season, as well as a very successful varsity softball team. When her substitute position ended, she returned to Long Island to teach physical education and health for a K-4 charter school for students with disabilities. In 2000, she returned to Old Forge again for a full-time teaching position, and coached junior varsity soccer. In six years at Old Forge, Ste-Marie coached five undefeated soccer teams and five very successful varsity volleyball teams with three undefeated seasons, three division championships, a sectional championship and a regional championship.

Ste-Marie's goal was to teach at the college level, and in the fall of 2006, she joined the staff of Herkimer County Community College as a physical education instructor and assistant women's lacrosse coach. She is also assistant varsity volleyball coach at Ilion Jr.-Sr. High School and a coach and player for summer softball leagues.

Ste-Marie holds an A.S. from SUNY Morrisville and a B.S. in Physical Education and M.S. in Adaptive Physical Education from SUC at Cortland.
