The Mountain Valley Conference was formed on October 30, 1970, uniting the original six colleges into one athletic body who shared compatible educational objectives, size, programs and geographic locations. Since 1970 the membership has grown from six to the present number of 11. The Conference hosts numerous championships and has become one of the most viable conferences in the NJCAA.
