December 1, 2006 - The Festival of Lights in the Herkimer Mini Park will be held Thursday,
December 7 at 7 p.m., on the corner of William and Smith Streets in the village. Illuminated holiday decorations will adorn the park. Radio personality Hank Brown will serve as master of ceremonies.
The evening’s events will include a presentation of colors by the Herkimer VFW and holiday entertainment by the Herkimer High School band and choir. A highlight of the evening will be Santa’s arrival by fire truck. After a brief stop at the park, he will travel to the HARC on S. Washington Street to hear children’s wishes.
